This year’s Erewash Bonfire and Fireworks extravaganza will be held on Saturday 4 November and promises to be as spectacular as ever with a stunning ‘Heroes and Villains’ themed display set to some rocking music.
Organised by Erewash Borough Council, the annual celebration is held at West Park in Long Eaton and is one of the biggest community bonfire and firework displays in the county, attracting thousands of people.
The gates at West Park will open at 6pm, with a funfair, stalls and food on offer to ensure a great night out for all the family. The event will begin at 7pm with the official lighting of the bonfire by the Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Mary Hopkinson, and will be followed at 7.30pm by the start of the dazzling firework display.
Residents have already been snapping up advance tickets to make ‘sparkling’ savings on admission prices – a family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) is £10, instead of the £15 payable on the night. Adults can snap up a ticket for £5 while anyone aged 16 and under or 60 and above pay £2 – both a £1 saving on the on-the-night price. Admission is free for children aged 5 and under.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“Our community bonfire night spectacular is by far the biggest and best event for miles around and we promise another sparkling night of family fun – so get your tickets now and have a dazzling time!
Advance tickets are available at West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton; Victoria Park Leisure Centre, Ilkeston; and Long Eaton and Ilkeston Town Halls.
